The Aspen Hill Community of Rockville and Silver Spring, Maryland is a diverse community full of neighbors invested in the well-being of their community and its residents. The Aspen Hill Civic Association has been very active in advocating for the preservation of the beauty and diversity of the neighborhood. Read more about the AHCA's history in History Est. 1985. The AHCA has been serving the community since 1985 for over 35 years in Aspen Hill, Montgomery County, Maryland.
Notable accomplishments include:
Ended a plan to build a WalMart Supercenter in the Aspen Hill Shopping Plaza;
Worked with the Lyndsay Ford dealership to ensure they are the best neighbors they can be;
Working with the Kaiser Permanente to ensure they are the best neighbors they can be;
Working with the Wheaton Woods Pool to ensure they are the best neighbors they can be;
Working with the Humane Society to ensure they are the best neighbors they can be;
Negotiated with the County for new traffic/hawk eye lights between the Aspen Hill Giant and Kohl's shopping centers to increase pedestrian and vehicular safety;
Sponsored Candidate Forums for aspiring elected officials at every level of government representing the Aspen Hill community to educate the residents on upcoming elections; and
